Thank you to all our swimmers who attended the FEMS AGM yesterday – it was good to see you all there.
After a successful AGM, and a social with eats afterwards, we left excited for the swimming year ahead and the endless possibilities of what we can accomplish together!
CLUB AWARDS:
Best Performance: Tanya Livingston, for her 50m butterfly at the 2026 SAMS National Championships in George – where she narrowly missed the SAQT.
Victrix Ludorum: Judy Dixon, she won 6 gold medals at the recent 2026 SAMS National Championships in George.
Victor Ludorum: Leonard Graaff, he won an insane amount of medals at the 2026 SAMS National Championships in George, which put him at the top of the points chart.
Best Open Water Swimmer – Female: Tanya Livingston
Runner up: Nikki Louw.
Best Open Water Swimmer – Male: Attie Louw
Runner up: Butch Coetzee.
Most Improved: Jed van Roon-Gifford, he significantly improved the times of 5 out of his 6 races at the 2026 SAMS National Championships in George.
Runner up: Barbara Eckersley.
Best Newcomer: Leonard Graaff – he took a 10 year break from swimming, but has now reappeared on the swimming scene and is raring to go!
Spirit Trophy: Gavin Gericke was awarded the Spirit Trophy for his outstanding involvement in the organisation of the 2026 SAMS National Championships in George.
Best Open Water Swimming Newbie: Sandra Casas Delucchi for her remarkable performance in the open water swimming world.
