Pre-Nationals Pasta Party was held at Tanya & Ian Osborne’s house. Excitement was running high as the Kit for Port Elizabeth were dished out.

Preparations and training for the 2019 Masters being held in PE in March are in full swing. Here is just some of the fun events members took part in during January and February.
The Knysna Rotary 1 mile swim took place on Saturday, 29th December 2018. Fish Eagles’s only participant was Tanya Osborne who won the category for Women over 40 years. Well done Tanya!
Fish Eagles took to the water at Virgin Active on Saturday, 25 August for the Winter Challenge. All swimmers in South Africa are urge to take the plunge and swim for an hour during August. Each participant get sponsors and all money raised will be donated to Garden Route SPCA for a spayathon.
As always when the Fish Eagles get together there are lots of laughs, fun and this time swims. Some of the results: Pippy swimming 3825m, Judy 1800m, Jill 1600m and Tanya 1600m. (Lanie away and swimming alone in Phnom Penh, Cambodia swam 2000m). A total of R3650 was raised by the Fish Eagles.
Four of the Fish Eagles Masters participated in the Royal Winter Wipeout at Wellness World Indoor Pool on Friday, 3 August and Saturday, 4 August 2018. They were Mike, Tanya, Judy and Lanie. Joining them were Neil from PE Masters.
The gala was hosted by Royal Swimming Academy and though it was mostly younger swimmers taking part the “old” ones added a bit of class to the gala. Great for the kids to see that you can still take part, swim and enjoy yourself when you are “older” and that swimming is a sport for life.
Medals won:
Tanya – 5 gold, Mike – 3 gold, Judy – 1 gold and 1 silver and Lanie – 1 gold and 2 silver.
