Swimmers dressed in beanies and scarves arrived at Virgin Active, George on Sunday morning, 20 August, for the SAMS Winter Challenge – even though it was actually quite a lovely warm day.
Swimmers could take part in a 1-hour Individual Challenge, a 1-hour Relay Challenge, or a WFC Mile Challenge. Most Fish Eagles swam the 1-hour Individual Challenge, but we also had four lazy swimmers who opted for the 1-hour Relay Challenge. All proceeds from sponsorships and entry fees will be donated to the SPCA, George.
A “debriefing” took place afterwards, and swimmers were rewarded with a home-cooked Greek meal by Chef Paul.
